Mini UV Lamp Uncovers “Invisible” Contaminants

The Spectroline^® MiniMAX ™ UV-4AW is a compact ultraviolet inspection lamp that emits long-wave UV (365 nm) as well as white light.  Long-wave UV detects stains and other contaminants not visible to the naked eye by their bright fluorescent glow under the UV light.  It can be used on virtually any surface, ranging from countertops, sinks and food preparation areas to carpets, upholstery and bedding.  The white light is used for general inspection.

Long wave UV light is also beneficial in uncovering mold, bacteria and bodily fluids such as urine, as well as determining the exact location of odors.  The UV-4AW’s unique “shadow box” design helps block room light to make contaminants glow brighter. 

The UV-4AW lamp, with its self-filtered, long-wave UV tube, provides maximum power in a mini package.  Measuring only 8¼ x 2¼ x 1¼” (20.9 x 5.7 x 3.2 cm) and weighing just 10¼ oz (290g), this unit is extremely lightweight and compact and can be carried easily from place to place. 

Powered by four 1.5-volt AA alkaline batteries (not included), the UV-4AW comes with an AC adapter, nylon carrying strap and convenient travel pouch.  It features a sliding light shield for trouble-free tube changing and a slide-out compartment for effortless battery replacement.
