The New PowerMAX™ 365 UV-A LED Panel Flood Lamp Offers Maximum Compliances and NDT Application Options

Because Spectroline’s new PowerMAX™ 365 UV-A LED flood lamp (PM-1600SBLC) comes fully loaded with compliances and mounting possibilities, it provides NDT technicians with a wide variety of application options. Along with its nominal steady-state UV-A intensity of 4,500 µW/cm² at 15 inches (38 cm), the latest PowerMAX 365 compliances include:
  • Rolls-Royce RRES 90061
  • ASTM E3022 
  • ASTM UV-A intensity and wavelength specifications for LPI and MPI
(a certificate of conformance and full serialized validation report for both output and wavelength measurements is supplied with every lamp)
 
Thermal cut-off circuitry prevents the PowerMAX from going out of compliance when internal temperatures exceed specification. Built-in fans maintain optimum light output. Integral black light filters reduce outputs of wavelengths longer than 400 nm. For NDT applications that require extensive coverage area options and layouts, each lamp measures a large 15 x 6 in (38 x 15 cm.). Its panel of 16 powerful UV-A (365 nm) LEDs can be:

Multi-LED, Broad-Beam UV-A Lamp Series Meet NDT Inspection Requirements

Spectroline® TRITAN™ 365 Series are multi-LED, broad-beam UV-A (365 nm) lamps perfect for a wide range of NDT applications.

Each lamp features three ultra-hi-flux UV-A LEDs for NDT inspection, plus a white light LED to illuminate dark work areas. A rubber bumper with a Borofloat® glass lens protects the LEDs from damage. The lamps are compact and lightweight - only 16 ounces (454 g). Their rugged lamp bodies have an ergonomic design that provides hours of safe, fatigue-free use.

TRITAN 365 Series lamps are available in three versions to meet specific NDT inspection requirements.

  • The TRI-365HB high-intensity model provides a nominal steady-state UV-A intensity of 9,000 µW/cm² at 15 inches (38 cm).
  • The TRI-365DB and TRI-365DBB are standard-intensity models that are "tuned" to ensure a maximum steady-state UV-A intensity of less than 5,000 µW/cm² at 15 inches (38 cm), to address aerospace concerns.
  • The "DBB" lamp has a faceplate with integral black light filters that cover the LEDs and reduce the output of wavelengths longer than 400 nm.

A certificate of compliance for both output and wavelength measurements is supplied with each lamp, and all units meet ASTM UV-A intensity and wavelength specifications for FPI and MPI.

Also available are TRITAN 365 Series portable, battery-operated AC/DC lamp kits. Along with the TRITAN 365 UV lamp, the kits contain a rechargeable NiMH battery pack, AC and DC cord sets, smart AC charger and UV-absorbing glasses, all packed in a padded carrying case.

New NDT Inspection Lamp Now Tested to Comply with Both ASTM E3022 Standard and Rolls-Royce RRES 90061 Requirements

The Spectroline® TRITAN 365 (TRI-365SBLC) inspection lamp is now tested to comply with the ASTM E3022 Standard as well as being certified to meet Rolls-Royce RRES 90061Requirements. It features three ultra-hi-flux UV-A LEDs for NDT inspection, plus a white light LED with an intensity of 400 foot-candles (4,306 lux) to illuminate dark work areas. The lamp produces a nominal steady-state UV-A intensity of less than 5,000 µW/cm2 at 15 inches (38 cm) and a large 4 inch (10 cm) diameter coverage area at 15 inches (38 cm), with a minimum UV-A intensity of 2,500 µW/cm2

 

A faceplate with integral black light filters reduces the output of wavelengths longer than 400 nm. Visible light emission is less than 1 foot-candle (5 lux). The unit’s long lasting UV-A lenses reduce the rate of solarization; a common problem with traditional lenses. When the thermal circuitry “senses” an overage in internal temperature, it trips, never letting the lamp go out of Rolls Royce RRES specifications. The lamp includes a rubber bumper with a Borofloat® glass lens to protect the LEDs from damage

 

A Certificate of Conformance and a full serialized validation report for both output and wavelength measurements are supplied with each lamp. The TRITAN 365 also meets ASTM UV-A intensity and wavelength specifications for LPT and MPT.

 

The TRITAN 365 comes with a choice of standard 8 foot (2.4 m) or extra-long 20 foot (6.1 m) heavy-duty power cord with AC plug, a rubber boot and UV-absorbing spectacles, all packed in a soft carrying case. It is available in 110V, as well as 230V, 240V and 100V versions.

 

Advanced, Microprocessor-Controlled Digital Radiometer/Photometers

Spectronics Corporation manufactures the AccuPRO™ Series of digital radiometer/photometers that measures and displays light readings for non-destructive testing applications. It provides the convenience of intensity and visible light measurement simultaneously.

Multi-LED, Broad-Beam Inspection Lamps Meet ASTM Specs for FPT and MPT

Spectronics Corporation manufactures a wide variety of lamps to meet this need.
 
Spectroline® QUADRAN™ 365 S-Series are powerful, multi-LED, broad-beam UV-A (365 nm) inspection lamps. They are specially designed to meet ASTM UV-A intensity and wavelength specifications for FPT and MPT.

They’re engineered with four ultra-hi-flux UV-A LEDs for fluorescent inspection, plus a white light LED for flaw location. Their broad-beam configuration produces an extremely wide coverage area of up to 5 inches (13 cm), with a minimum UV-A intensity of 2,000 µW/cm² at 15 inches (38 cm). The lamps can be hand-held or used for in-line inspections.
 
The QUADRAN 365 S-Series lamps are available in two models, QDR-365SA and QDR-365SBLA. To address aerospace industry concerns, both units are “tuned” to a maximum UV-A intensity of 4,500 µW/cm² at 15 inches (38 cm). The QDR-365SA comes with a standard faceplate and the QDR-365SBLA comes with a faceplate containing integral black light filters that further reduce the emission of wavelengths longer than 400 nm. Both models have a high/low switch to control the white light LED output. The white light LED’s high-intensity setting is 300 foot-candles (3,229 lux) and the low setting is 10 foot-candles (108 lux).
 
A certificate of compliance for both wavelength and output measurements is supplied with each lamp.
 
Also available are the QUADRAN 365 MS-Series portable, battery-operated AC/DC lamp kits. PowerMAX 365 Series lamps are available in four models: high-intensity and standard-intensity versions, each with or without a black light filter. UV-A LED Flashlight for NDT

The powerful Spectroline® OPTIMAX™ 365 is a cordless, rechargeable UV-A (365 nm) LED flashlight that is ideal for nondestructive testing applications such as MPI, FPI and general fluorescent examination. This reliable unit is engineered with every advantage for the NDT inspector.

The OPTIMAX 365 utilizes ultra-hi-flux LED technology to produce a nominal steady-state UV-A intensity of 18,000 µW/cm² at a distance of 15” (38 cm). Its Electronic Intensity Stabilizer assures consistent performance; the beam strength will not weaken between charges. Powered by a rechargeable NiMH battery, the flashlight provides 90 minutes of continuous use between charges. The LED lifetime is 100,000 hours.

He spent several hours meeting with numerous administration officials, including the Secretary of Commerce, the Director of the White House's National Economic Council, the Under Secretary for Economic Affairs in the U.S. Department of Commerce, and the Deputy Administrator of the Small Business Administration.

These officials provided detailed information about a broad range of programs and services that are now available to assist small and medium size businesses. The goal of the federal government is to provide export assistance in order to help grow sales in overseas markets. Versatile, Affordable UV Lamp Perfect for MPI and FPI

SB-100P Series UV-A Inspection Lamp

Spectronics Corporation’s SB-100P Series UV-A (365 nm) lamps are “workhorses” for NDT inspections, and meet ASTM UV-A intensity and wavelength specifications for MPI and FPI.

The lamps are available in concentrated spot and diffused versions. The concentrated spot SB-100P has a nominal steady-state UV-A (365 nm) intensity of 4,800 µW/cm² at 15 inches (38 cm).

The lamp head and transformer base housing are constructed of a special heat-resistant engineering polymer that ensures years of rugged use. Ergonomically designed, the lamp head detaches easily from the transformer base to allow for effortless, fatigue-free inspection.

Spectronics Corporation has announced the promotion of Debra Hammond to Global Customer Service Manager.

Debbie started her career at Spectronics more than 20 years ago as an International Customer Service Specialist, eventually moving on to Department Manager in 1998. Her positive, “can-do” attitude and outstanding work ethic made her a perfect choice for the Global Customer Service Manager position.

In her new role, Debbie will be responsible for streamlining the daily work flow of both the International and Domestic customer service departments, which in the future will be referred to as the Global Customer Service Department. “My primary focus will be to continue to maintain, nurture and strengthen the customer relationships our sales team creates worldwide.
