Cool Seal™ Leak Sealer Adds Years to AC&R Systems Now Available in the Cool Stick Delivery Method

on Mon, 05/09/2016 - 10:07

Spectroline’s Cool Seal™ A/C Leak Sealer is the hassle-free way to add years to out of warranty AC&R system. Cool Seal seals refrigerant leaks in compressors, condensers, evaporators, O-rings and hoses. And it’s now available in three popular delivery methods. The new kid on the block is the Cool Seal Stick Capsule (CS-3CS). It allows Cool Seal to be injected right along with your refrigerant (2 bleed valves required). Each capsule treats up to 2 tons of cooling.

The CS-100CS Cool Seal EZ-Ject™ Kit features the EZ-Ject™ injector assembly, hose/coupler with check valve and purge fitting and two cartridges prefilled with Cool Seal. Each cartridge treats up to 2 tons of cooling. The larger CS-2CS Cool Seal BigEZ™ Cartridge works with the BigEZ™ injector, but can also be used with the EZ-Ject injector using a special adapter. The full cartridge treats 6 to 12 tons of cooling.

Regardless of the delivery method, Cool Seal remains safely in the system to guard against future leaks and is an economical alternative to expensive parts replacement on older AC&R systems. Unlike aerosol can-type leak sealers, Cool Seal is non-flammable and has no storage-related safety issues. There is no need for system pump down, and that allows the technician to see the contents injected into the system.

Cool Seal meets ASHRAE 97 standard for chemical stability. Its non-polymer, oil-soluble formula is safe for all AC&R system components and recovery equipment. It works in all popular AC&R systems, including high-pressure R-410A systems.

AC&R Dye Injection Kits Make It Easy to Pinpoint All Refrigerant Leaks the First Time

on Tue, 11/17/2015 - 15:50

Leaks in air conditioning and refrigeration systems cost the industry many millions of dollars every year. Spectronics Corporation addresses this important concern by manufacturing a line of leak detection lamps and kits that pinpoint leaks quickly and effectively.

Spectroline® BigEZ™ Dye Injection Kits allow technicians to add the precise amount of fluorescent dye into all AC&R systems, including high-pressure R-410A systems — without wasting a drop of dye. The kits’ dye injector is easy to use because it requires only one connection to add dye into an AC&R system. The dye cartridge is precision calibrated for accurate dosing, so there are no messy spills or wasted dye. Each 4-oz cartridge contains enough AR-GLO® fluorescent dye to treat up to 16 gallons (60.8 L) of lubricant, approximately 400 lbs. (180 kg) of refrigerant or 150 tons of cooling.

The NSF Certified fluorescent dye is extremely concentrated, super bright and co-solvent free. It makes even the smallest refrigerant leaks glow brightly when scanned with a high-intensity Spectroline® inspection lamp. As a result, technicians can seeeach and every leak the first time they inspect a system, which saves considerable time and labor.

The BEZ-400/ECS kit contains one universal/POE dye cartridge for all AC&R systems, while the BEZ-400CS kit has one dye cartridge for mineral oil lubricant systems. Each kit features the BEZ-50 dye injector assembly, one BigEZ dye cartridge, an A/C hose/coupler with check valve and ¼" flare low-loss fitting, and a purge fitting. Both BigEZ kits come in handy clamshell packages.
