22 Fluorescent Leak Detection Dye

It’s Oil-Based and It Leaks, Think OIL-GLO! For more than 45 years,
OIL-GLO 22 has been the standard in quickly pinpointing all problem oil
leaks in industrial applications. Just add this safe and easy-to-use fluorescent
dye to your system and shine a high-intensity Spectroline ultraviolet
or UV/blue light lamp on the suspect area. The exact source of every leak
will shine with a bright yellow-green glow.
- Hydraulic systems: Hydraulic cylinder and equipment
manufacturers use OIL-GLO in their quality control procedures before
shipping their new products. It’s ideal for field maintenance
as well.
- Leak testing of gaskets and seals: Used in engines,
air compressors, transmission gearboxes and most industrial oil-based
lubrication systems.
- Many other uses: Additional applications include
leak testing of offset printing presses, milling and injection-molding
machines, locomotive engine oil coolers, and all circulating oil systems.
OIL-GLO is also found in gasket and seal development labs, and has been
employed in visual inspection methods that involve coating a part with
a mixture of oil and OIL-GLO and inspecting it with ultraviolet light
for imperfections. Eliminate contamination, machinery wear and safety

in custom blends to accommodate the “host fluid” in your
particular system, whether you are using petroleum-based or synthetic
lubricants.
Simple 2-step Procedure:
- Add OIL-GLO to a system and circulate (or cycle) the fluid.
- Inspect the suspect area with a high-intensity Spectroline ultraviolet
or UV/blue light lamp. All leaks, even the smallest ones, will glow
a bright yellow-green. Approved for service applications by major industrial
and vehicle manufacturers, OIL-GLO is ideal for preventive maintenance,
quality control, and research & development
procedures.
Laboratory Tested
Particle contamination testing to SAE/ISO specifications has shown that
OIL-GLO meets or exceeds cleanliness levels for new hydraulic fluids.
In addition, OIL-GLO does not contain wear or contaminant metals.
