Spectronics
Corporation manufactures more than 1,000 different UV, UV/Blue™
and LED products for literally hundreds of markets and applications.
Spectronics invented fluorescent leak detection in 1955 and has
been the premier supplier of ultraviolet dyes and inspection lamps
to the automotive, HVAC/R and industrial markets for over half a
century.
Used and approved by major automotive and equipment manufacturers
around the world, the Tracerline™ System’s ability to
pinpoint the exact source of all leaks—oil, refrigerant, water/coolant,
transmission fluid, fuel, power steering fluid and hydraulic fluid—saves
labor, reduces downtime and prevents costly premature replacement
of equipment.
Spectroline® fluorescent tracer dyes are used to check for
leaks in the U.S. Space Shuttle, as well as in nuclear reactors,
power plants, liquid storage tanks and oil pipelines worldwide.
In the laboratory and life science fields, Spectroline®
transilluminators produce outstanding uniform UV intensity and brilliant
fluorescent sample response. Our crosslinkers provide precise UV
dosage and membrane binding. Spectroline® UV lamps
and radiometers are widely used for medical diagnosis and treatment.
An acknowledged leader in the field, Spectronics manufactures the
world’s most extensive line of UV EPROM erasers. It also produces
UV radiometers to monitor EPROM erasing and semiconductor processing
systems, as well as special lamps used to detect surface contamination
on semiconductor wafers.
Technicians in the nondestructive testing industry use a variety
of Spectroline® high-intensity UV lamps to detect
surface and subsurface flaws in materials and components, while
our digital radiometer/photometers measure a variety of light sources.
Spectronics’ UV equipment is also important in such areas
as critical maintenance, precision manufacturing, assembly and quality
control.
Banks, retailers and government agencies rely on Spectroline®
counterfeit currency detectors to uncover “funny money”
and phony U.S. treasury checks.
Industries as diverse as agriculture and pest control, readmission,
forensics, mineralogy and gemology, art/antique collecting and philately
also use our UV technology to aid in their diagnoses. Spectroline®
germicidal lamps are found in hospitals, cleanrooms, purification
stations and wherever else germ “sanitization” is desired.
Headquartered in Westbury, New York, with nearly 200 employees
dedicated to research and development, manufacturing, sales, marketing,
customer service, and logistical and technical support, Spectronics’
goal remains the same today as it was over 50 years ago—to
produce top-quality, award-winning products at competitive pricing
with utmost dedication to customer satisfaction.
