Concrete-damaging
ASR causes roads to crumble, buildings to fall, and bridges to topple.
Quite simply, ASR causes concrete to expand and crack.
Many materials engineers are currently laboring to cut and transport
concrete samples back to the laboratory for testing. Now, with our
new, on-site Spectroline ASR-260
field inspection kit, they can quickly and easily test concrete
in the field!
By using readily available chemicals and reagents, the ASR-260
will instantly detect the presence of ASR in aggregates, aggregate
sockets, air voids and fractures on externally formed surfaces of
concrete. ASR damage is shown clearly with a bright yellow-green
glow under UV light.
